the halls

The you whom I love,
was never a fence.

The you whom I trust,
had a bottomless heart.

Where there is affection, there is no silence.

The unborn, who would have carried your name,
now sits crying, nameless, within me. One day,
for her, your face won’t even be a memory.

Only a shadow from origin’s past.
