I am not very good at bird identification, so I am asking the WordPress community to help me out. I snapped the above image in Tachikawa (Japan) yesterday. I see them often in Yamanashi Prefecture, where I live, as well. Any ideas?
Update: Since making this post, I have learned that the bird in question is a Japanese wagtail.

Magpies are quite common in Korea, but I still find them beautiful.

Yesterday, my husband and I decided to check out Eulsukdo Island in Busan. Between the months of October and March, Eulsukdo is a popular place for migrating waterfowl to stop and rest. For some reason, the bridges closest to the water were inaccessible yesterday, so I wasn’t really able to photograph the birds as I had intended. It was somewhat disappointing for me. I managed to snap a few images from a distance.

Some days I bring my camera on a hike and never take it out of my backpack. Today was not one of those days.
